Doris Gangwish

Hastings resident, Doris L. Gangwish, 86, passed away Sunday, November 17, 2013 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Thursday, November 21, 2013; 10:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Tom Murray officiating. Burial will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Juniata Cemetery Association. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 20, 2013; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. with family present 6:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M., and one hour prior to service on Thursday at the funeral home.

Doris was born January 10, 1927 in Hastings, Nebraska to Chester J. & Elizabeth "Beth" (Hubbard) Wiltrout. She graduated from Juniata High School and attended Hastings College. Doris married Howard L. Gangwish on January 10, 1954 in Juniata; he preceded her in death on June 3, 2004. She was a homemaker and a member of Juniata Community Church and Juniata American Legion Auxiliary. Doris played the organ in church, was a member of Ladies Aid, and sang in the choir.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard L. Gangwish; son, Dick Gangwish; daughter, Susan Nemeth; one sister; and three brothers.
