Hastings resident, Doris Newsome, 92, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2011 at The Kensington, Hastings, Nebraska.

Private services will be held and there will be no visitation. Memorials may be given to Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare Hospice.

Doris was born September 29, 1918 in Langdon, Kansas to Glen & Iona (Sanderson) Bailey. She married Paul Newsome on March 28, 1942 in Belton, Missouri; he preceded her in death on February 4, 1999. She was a homemaker and attended Grace United Methodist Church.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Paul Newsome; one grandchild; and sister, Dorothy.
