Doris Shafer

Hastings resident, Doris Jean Shafer, 81, of 1025 So. Hastings, died Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at the Nebraska Heart Institute Heart Hospital, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Graveside memorial service will be at a later date.

Mrs. Shafer was born July 7, 1924 in Dawn, Missouri to James Edward & Aurelia (Stipes) Moore. She attended Greenwood School in Carroll County, Missouri. She farmed and was a homemaker. She married Rural Heath in Missouri and he preceded her in death. She married Guy Stratton in Washington and they later divorced. She married Orville Shafer in Nebraska and they later divorced.

Mrs. Shafer was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Rural Heath, daughter, Joyce Heath Boyd, brothers, James, Clifton and Donald Moore
