Doris Sole

Hastings resident, Doris M. Sole, 74, of Hastings, died Saturday, April 25, 2009 at her home.

Services will be Friday, May 1, 2009; 11:00 A.M. at Butler Volland Chapel with Rev. Harold Stromer officiating. Burial will be Friday, May 1, 2009; 3:00 P.M. in Superior Cemetery, Superior, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to The Nebraska Polio Organization. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 29, 2009; 9:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M.; Thursday, April 30, 2009; 9:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M. and one hour prior to service Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Sole was born July 16, 1934 in Jewel County, Kansas to Forrest & Ola (Ewer) Matteson. She graduated from Superior High School and married Art Sole in 1953, they later divorced. She worked for REA in Nelson before moving to Hastings in 1968 where she worked for Garvey Elevators and then AGP before retiring in December of 2008.

Mrs. Sole was preceded in death by her parents.
