Doris Clara Whitcomb,80, of 819 E. 5th, died Tuesday, November 6, 2001 at Bryan LGH Medical Center East, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Services will be Saturday, November 10, 2001; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Dr. Carl W. Utley & Rev. Matt Nieman officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, rural Hall County, Nebraska.

Doris Clara Whitcomb was born July 16, 1921 in Adams County, Nebraska to John W. & Ella Ethel (Reisland) Rider. She graduated from Hastings High School, Hastings, Nebraska in 1939. On July 16, 1940, she married Merton Whitcomb and he preceded her in death in 1982. She was a homemaker and also worked as a saleswoman at Schweser's. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and a life long area resident.

Doris Clara Whitcomb was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Merton, a son, a grandson and 2 brothers.

Brothers: G.R. Rider - Lindsay, CA
Norris Rider - Beeville, TX

Memorial maybe given to First Presbyterian Church
