Dorothea E. Glantz, 96, of Perkins Pavilion, died Monday, April 21, 2003 at Perkins Pavilion.
Services will be Saturday, April 26, 2003; 10:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Sacia Vik officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Dorothea E. Glantz was born March 22, 1907 in Guide Rock, Nebraska to Walter & Lillie Mae (Dean) Oberheide. She graduated from Guide Rock High School in 1925. On September 3, 1930, she married Emil E. 'Boomer' Glantz and he preceded her in death on January 21, 1972. She was a seamstress for Phillip's Smart Shoppe for many years. Additionally, she was a member and officer in many organizations including First St. Paul's Lutheran Church WELCA #1, Women's Auxiliary to the Grand Army of the Republic, past Grand Chief of the Phythian Sisters, the Paramount Lodge #873 of the Trainmen's Auxiliary, and a 50 year member of the Ladies Auxiliary Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Dorothea E. Glantz was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Emil, an infant brother, one sister, Waldolene Rehtus and one brother, Dean Oberheide.
