Dorothy M. Arnold, 92, of The Kensington, 233 N. Hastings, died Tuesday, December 5, 2000 at the Kensington.
Inurnment will be in LeGrand, Iowa at a later date. There will be no services.
Dorothy M. Arnold was born October 31, 1908 in LeGrand, Iowa to Earl & Frances (Hill) Arnold. She graduated from high school in Sac City, Iowa in 1927. She received her B. A degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1931 and her M.A degree from the University of Iowa in education in 1935. She served her country as a W.A.C. from 1943-1945 and was stationed in New Guinea and the Philippines. Her career was as a secondary educator, starting in Albany, New York and then in Las Vegas, Nevada. For many years during summer breaks, she worked as a counselor at camps in Northern New York and in Maine. She was a member of the American Association of University of Women, National Education Association and Kelta Kappa.
Dorothy M. Arnold was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Russell of Florida and sister Evelyn M. Wallace of Hastings, Nebraska.
