Dorothy Bruntz

Hastings resident, Dorothy P. Bruntz, 97, passed away Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, July 17, 2015; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Dale Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to Start Over Rover. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born August 1, 1917 in Harvard, Nebraska to Robert P. & Ellen A. (Krug) Yost. She graduated from Harvard High School in 1935. Dorothy married Jacob Bruntz in 1937; he preceded her in death in 1978. She was a homemaker, worked for area schoolsand Good Samaritan Village as a dietary tech. Dorothy was a foster grandparent at Children's Ark and was a member of First Congregational United Church of Christ. She enjoyed cooking for and helping family and friends.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jacob Bruntz; five brothers; two sisters; and two grandchildren.
