Dorothy Hohlfeld

Holstein resident Dorothy C. Hohlfeld, 92, passed away on Sunday, April 1, 2018, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.

Memorial services are 11 a.m. Thursday, April 5, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Rev. Lon E. Landsmann officiating. Private family burial will be held at a later time in Wanda Zion Lutheran Cemetery in rural Juniata. Book signing is 9-5 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born May 9, 1925, to John & Mary (Phillips) David. She graduated from Roseland High School. Dorothy married Fred Carl Hohlfeld on April 17, 1944; he preceded her in death on March 13, 2017. She dedicated her life to raising her children and being a homemaker. Dorothy was a doll collector and loved crafts and gardening.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred Carl Hohlfeld; five sisters; and two brothers.
