Dorothy Kulhanek

Hastings resident Dorothy Jane Kulhanek, 70, passed away Monday, June 4, 2018, at Bryan Medical Center East Campus, Lincoln, NE.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Pastor John Whitsett officiating. Burial will be in Juniata Cemetery in Juniata. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Visitation is 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. with family present 6-8 p.m. Friday and one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Dorothy was born February 18, 1948 in Hastings, NE to Chester & Helen (Hummel) Eisele. She graduated from Juniata High School in 1966 and attended beauty school in Hastings. Dorothy married Stephen James Kulhanek on August 10, 1970. She owned her own daycare for many years. She also worked as a secretary at the Regional Center. Dorothy attended Lakeside Community Church of the Nazarene.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Roger Eisele.
