Former Hastings resident, Dorothy Moore, 93, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at Scottsdale, Arizona.

Graveside Services will be Friday, August 15, 2014; 2:00 P.M. at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Samuel R. Rathod officiating. There will be no viewing or visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her favorite charity, ASPCA or a charity of your choice.

Dorothy Moore was born "a lady" on November 20, 1920 and passed away "a lady" on August 10, 2014. Dorothy was born in Hastings, Nebraska and after living in over 20 different places, she will be buried in the family plot in Hastings, Nebraska. Dorothy was the daughter of Leland & Dora Pearson. She had two sisters, Irene Sielaff & Mildred Porritt, both of whom preceded her in death. Dorothy started her adult life as a secretary and then spent most of her life tending to the responsibilities as a Preacher's wife. She married Dr. Raymond Moore in 1943, a Methodist Minister & US Navy Chaplain, who also had predeceased her. Dorothy was known as the ultimate hostess. Up to the end, she was apologizing for not being able to entertain those who visited her! Dorothy loved animals, especially cats.
