Dorothy Rewerts

March 2, 1925 — November 20, 2005

Hastings resident, Dorothy L. Rewerts, 80, of 10295 North Marion Road, died Sunday, November 20, 2005 at the Nebraska Heart Institute Hospital, Lincoln, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, November 23, 2005; 11:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Pastor Tom Murray officiating. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery, rural Hall County.

Mrs. Rewerts was born March 2, 1925 in Edgewater, Colorado to Harold & Lilian Hamm. She graduated from high school in Denver, Colorado. She moved to Hastings, Nebraska and worked at Fred Spady Motors and Worthington Motors, in Hastings, Nebraska and married Lloyd Rewerts on November 14, 1948 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Doniphan, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on June 21, 1979. She was a homemaker and helped on the family farm. She also worked at Woolworth's. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Doniphan, Nebraska. She was a lifelong charter member of American Legion Auxiliary 365, Juniata, Nebraska & Auxiliary 300, Doniphan, Nebraska, and the ALA 40 & 8. She was a past chairman of Adams County Government Day, a volunteer at the Hastings Blood Mobile, Nebraska Veteran's Hospital, past Poppy chairman and was also a Notary Republic.

Mrs. Rewerts was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Lloyd and a sister, Audrey Pratt.

VISITATION: Mon. 11-21-05; 5pm-9pm
Tue. 11-22-05; 9am-9pm family present 7pm-9pm
Wed. 11-23-05; 9am until service time
