Dorothea Julia Geyerman, 95, of Perkins Pavilion, died Friday, November 9, 2001 at Perkins Pavilion.
Services will be Tuesday, November 13, 2001, 3:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church with Dr. Carl W. Utley officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Dorothea Julia Geyerman was born April 12, 1906 in Okabena, Minnesota, to August c. & Sarah (Severson) Miller. She was the second oldest of seven children, one a stillbirth. Soon after, she moved to Brewster, Minnesota where her father was blacksmith and her mother owned a café. She graduated from high school in 1924 and went to St. Cloud Teachers College, St. Cloud, Minnesota. She then taught school near Brewster, Minnesota. She moved to California and married Rudolph 'Bob' Geyerman on June 15, 1927 and he preceded her in death on October 1, 1966. They returned to Minnesota and then moved to Hastings, Nebraska in 1937 and opened Geyerman's Clothing Store. She retired in 1977 and enjoyed traveling and the Nebraska football games. She also enjoyed watching her grandchildren growing up and every school event or basketball game they were in.
Dorothea Julia Geyerman was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 'Bob', daughter, Jean, 1 sister, 1 brother and a grandson.

Memorial maybe given to First Presbyterian Church or Crossroads of Hastings
Butler-Volland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
