Douglas Lewis

Hastings resident, Douglas M. Lewis, 61, of 133 East 'A' Street, died Sunday, September 10, 2006 at his home.

Services will be Wednesday, September 13, 2006; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Funeral Home with Rev. Carl H. Rehwaldt officiating. Burial will be 2:30 P.M. in Red Cloud Cemetery, Red Cloud, Nebraska. Memorials to the family. Visitation will be Tuesday, September 12, 2006; 3pm-9pm and Wednesday, September 13, 2006; 9am until service time at Butler-Volland Funeral Home.

Mr. Lewis was born January 6, 1945 in Hastings, Nebraska to Donald S. & Rosalie C. (Mullen) Lewis. He graduated from the Nebraska School of the Deaf in Omaha, Nebraska. On December 20, 2000, he married Rhonda Roesener in Hastings, Nebraska. He was a life long area resident and a member of Faith Lutheran Church and of District 8 ABATE of Nebraska (A Brotherhood Against Totalitarian Enactment).

Mr. Lewis was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Dan R. Lewis and an uncle.
