Duane Halte

Duane W. Halte, 71, 423 Circle D, Hastings, Nebraska, died Monday, September 16, 2002 at St. Francis Skilled Care Unit, Grand Island, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, September 20, 2002; 11:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Jim Miller officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Juniata Cemetery, Juniata, Nebraska.

Duane W. Halte was born October 2, 1930 in Prosser, Nebraska to George III, & Ina May (Browning) Halte. He graduated from Juniata High School, Juniata, Nebraska in 1948. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War from August 2, 1951 to May 14, 1953. He married Doris Kroetsching on February 14, 1964 in Hastings, Nebraska. He worked for Hastings Industries for 27 years before retiring. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and Life Member of V.F.W., Hastings, Nebraska. He was also a member of American Legion, Doniphan, Nebraska. He was a life long area resident.

Duane W. Halte was preceded in death by his parents, 7 brothers and 1 sister.
