Duane Utecht

Duane Hasebrook Utecht, 78, of 2640 East Assumption Road, Glenvil, Nebraska, died Thursday, October 6, 2005 at his home.

Services will be Monday, October10, 2005; 10:30 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. Dan Hauer officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Utecht was born March 4,1927, in Hastings, Nebraska to William & Lora (Hasebrook) Utecht. He graduated from Hastings High School and served in the United States Army Infantry from January 10, 1946 until August 17, 1947. On February 24, 1952, he married Irene Knipfel. He was a life long area farmer and a member of Zion Lutheran Church and the American Legion Club in Glenvil, Nebraska. He also earned his private pilot license.

Mr. Utecht was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, LaMoine & Claris Utecht.
