Duane Walker

August 28, 1932 — May 1, 2008

Hastings resident, Duane R. 'Gunny' Walker, 75 of 910 East 5th Street, died Thursday, May 1, 2008 at his home.

Memorial service & burial with military rites will be Friday, June 20, 2008; 1:00 P.M. at Greenwood Cemetery, Trumbull, Nebraska. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to American Diabetes Association.

Mr. Walker was born August 28, 1932 in Faulkton, South Dakota to Charles & Dana (Nipp) Walker. He graduated from high school and served in the United States Marine Corps from October 3, 1951 until June 30, 1971. He married Norma Jean Williams. He was a member of Marine Corps League and Marine Corps Tankers Association.

Mr. Walker was preceded in death by parents; brothers, William, Edward, Daryl and Willard and a sister, Dorothy Sandstrom.
