DuWayne Overy

Former Hastings resident, DuWayne W. Overy, 92, of Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska, died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Blue Hill Care Center.

Services will be Thursday, May 5, 2005; 10:00 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Frank Kerkemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr, Nebraska.

Mr. Overy was born July 19, 1912 on a farm southeast of Pauline, Nebraska to William & Anna (Mumma) Overy. He attended Antioch School in rural Adams County, Nebraska. He worked for Adams County Department of Roads, Vontz Construction Company and the City of Hastings Street Department. He married Iris Robinsen in 1959 and she preceded him in death in 1975. He later married Wilhelmina McCalley and she preceded him in death in 1999. He was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mr. Overy was preceded in death by his parents, wives, Iris and Wilhelmina, three brothers and one sister.

Memorial may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Blue Valley Cemetery

Wed. 5-4-05; 9am-9pm with family present 7pm-9pm
Thur. 5-5-05; 9am until service time
