Hastings resident, E. Maxine Champoux, 85, died Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at Perkins Pavilion, Hastings, Nebraska.
Rosary will be Sunday, November 16, 2008; 4:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, November 17, 2008; 10:00 A.M. At St. Michael's Catholic Church with Father Lee Jirovsky officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Saturday, November 15, 2008; 3PM-9PM & Sunday, November 16, 2008; 1PM-9PM at the funeral home and Monday, November 17, 2008; 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to St. Michael's Church or American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Champoux was born February 19, 1923 in Sterling, Nebraska to Glen & Blanche (Riffle) Walker. She graduated from Sterling High School in 1941 and married Raymond E. Champoux on December 11, 1943 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He preceded her in death on March 18, 1985. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church, Altar Society and V.F.W. Auxiliary #1346. She was a homemaker and also a retail clerk.
Mrs. Champoux was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers, Avon, Dale & Harlan Walker, two sisters, Ardith Walker and Mae Hoke.
