Edmund Drudik

Hastings resident, Edmund F. "Ed" Drudik, 87, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Mary Lanning Memorial HealthCare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Rosary will be Tuesday, November 16, 2010; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, November 17, 2010; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday, November 15, 2010; 5 P.M. - 9 P.M., Tuesday, November 16, 2010; 9 A.M. - 9 P.M. and one hour prior to service at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established or St. Cecilia's Catholic Church.

Edmund "Ed" F. Drudik was born August 6, 1923 near Fairfield, Nebraska on a farm to Joseph & Lula (Karmazin) Drudik. He graduated from Deweese High School in 1941. He served in the U.S. Army from November 1, 1950 until October 17, 1951. Ed operated Drudik Construction with his father; later farmed and operated a Grade A Dairy near Fairfield, Nebraska. He married Connie A. Pohlmeier on June 19, 1951 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Lawrence, Nebraska. Connie preceded him in death on June 29, 2009. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, American Legion of Fairfield, 4-H leader, and Clay County Extension Board.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Connie Drudik, grandchildren, Kayla Drudik and Grant Larson, sisters, Dorothy Radcliffe, Agnes Roberts, Mary Lou Drudik and Margaret Drudik.
