Former Hastings resident, Edna M. Reiber, 96, of St. John's Center, Kearney, Nebraska, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at St. John's Center.
Services will be Monday, May 1, 2006; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Dr. William E. Deahl, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr, Nebraska.
Mrs. Reiber was born October 13, 1909 in Juniata, Nebraska to Earl & Ella (Ronnekamp) Osgood. She graduated from Hastings High School and attended Hastings College and taught school in Pauline Grade School, Pauline, Nebraska. She married Walter Reiber on May 9, 1930 in Utica, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on November 4, 1979. They lived on a farm at Pauline, Nebraska until 1978 when they moved to Hastings, Nebraska. She moved to the Regency Retirement Residence of Hastings in 1994 and then to St. John's Center, Kearney, Nebraska in February of 2002. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and Women's Auxiliary of Hastings, Nebraska.
Mrs. Reiber was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Walter, grandson, Tony Kranau and a sister, Nelma Faimon.
