Edna Theesen

Former Hastings resident, Edna P. Theesen, 89, of Johnson Lake, Nebraska, died Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Elwood Care Center, Elwood, Nebraska.

Memorial service will be Saturday, January 28, 2006; 10:00 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Theesen was born May 29, 1916 in Snyder, Oklahoma to Alan & Leona (Winnett) Jack. She was raised in Hillsboro, Texas. She moved to Hastings, Nebraska and on November 22, 1945, she married John O. Theesen, Jr. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was a merchandise clerk for Brock Thompson, Montgomery Wards and Tempo. They moved to Johnson Lake in 1970. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church and past presidents of Eagles Auxiliary, Nebraska State Council of Carpenters and of TOPS Club (Take Off Pounds Successfully at Johnson Lake).

Mrs. Theesen was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Loretta Garner & Rowena Gunter.
