Edward Wood

Hastings resident, Edward J. Wood, 90, of 710 North Hastings, passed away, Tuesday, October 21, 2008.

Rosary will be Friday, October 24, 2008; 7:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Memorial service will be Saturday, October 25, 2008; 10:30 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Christopher P. Goodwin & Father Thomas S. Brouillette officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials may be given to Hastings Catholic Schools.

Mr. Wood was born on December 26, 1917 in Custer, South Dakota to Robert I. & Pearl (Johnson) Wood. He married Josephine Konen on September 18, 1945 in Hastings, Nebraska. He was a meat cutter for Nash Finch for 40 years.

Mr. Wood was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Robert and several siblings.
