Elaine Goldenstein

February 24, 1946 — January 5, 2017

Hastings resident, Elaine Goldenstein, 70, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, Nebraska.

Memorial Services will be Monday, January 9, 2017; 10:30 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings with Pastor Kent Rogers and Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. There will be no viewing or visitation. The family is receiving visitors at 516 Lane F at Good Samaritan Village, Hastings.

Elaine was born February 24, 1946 in Hastings, Nebraska to Howard & Twyla (Main) Weavers. She was raised on a farm near Doniphan and graduated from Doniphan High School. Elaine was a member of Rural Youth Club where she met Leonard R. Goldenstein. She married Leonard on July 3, 1966 at Grace United Methodist Church in Hastings where they became members; he preceded her in death on September 2, 2014.

Elaine worked in retail, manufacturing, customer service, and management. She was an active member of Eagles Club. They settled on a small acreage near Juniata in 1966 where they raised two children, Donna and Darrell. Elaine was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished family and friends. She will be dearly missed.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Leonard R. Goldenstein.
