Eldon Edward Maul, 78, of 614 East 7th, Hastings, died Saturday, August 15, 2009, at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Rosary will be Tuesday, August 18, 2009; 7:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, August 19, 2009; 10:00 A.M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church with Father Joseph M. Walsh officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, August 18, 2009; 9 A.M. to 9 P.M. and Wednesday, August 19, 2009; one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorials to the family.

Eldon Maul was born October 23, 1930 to Edmund & Stasia (Dusatko) Maul at Hastings, Nebraska. He graduated from Hastings High School and joined the Air Force. After serving for four years in the Air Force he returned to Hastings, where he worked for the Union Pacific Railroad retiring in 1990. Eldon married Ruth A. (Ochsner) Spady on November 4, 1964. He was a member of St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus and American Legion.

Eldon Maul was preceded in death by his parents and brother Don Maul.
