Former Roseland resident, Elet Wagner, 79, of 19400 Elkridge Drive, Elkhorn, Nebraska, passed Thursday, June 4, 2009at the Elkridge Village Care Center, Elkhorn, Nebraska

Services will be Monday, June 8, 2009; 10:00 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church, Holstein, Nebraska with Pastor Trudy Hanke officiating. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, Roseland, Nebraska. Visitation will be Sunday, June 7, 2009; 1:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. with the family present from 2:00 P.M.-4:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Funeral Home in Hastings and Monday, June 8, 2009; 1 hour prior to services at Grace United Methodist, Holstein. Memorials may be given to the Grace United Methodist Church, Holstein, Nebraska or the Roseland Fire Department, Roseland, Nebraska.

Elet was born October 26,1929 in Hastings, Nebraska to Fred & Rose Wagner. He was the Roseland Postmaster for 45 years. He was involved with the Red Cross, Roseland Fire Department and with many other community organizations. Elet served in the United States Army during the Korean War from September 18, 1951 to June 18, 1953.

Elet was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Harold and a sister, Irene.
