Elias Timmerman

Elias W. Timmerman, 82, of Fairfield, Nebraska, died Thursday, February 19, 2004 at Rose Brook Care Center, Edgar, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, February 23, 2004; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Rev. Harold Stromer officiating. Burial will be in Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr, Nebraska.

Mr. Timmerman was born April 1, 1921 in O'Neill, Nebraska to John & Sarah (Clark) Timmerman. He married Della Hansen in Neligh, Nebraska, on December 15, 1941 and she preceded him in death on October 18, 2002. He served in the United States Navy during WWII from March 29, 1944 to January 19, 1946. He farmed, worked construction and was a civil service ordinance man for 37 years. He moved from Hastings, to Oklahoma, to Lincoln, Nebraska, to Ruskin, Nebraska and later to Fairfield, Nebraska. He was a past member of the Hastings D.A.V.

Mr. Timmerman was preceded in death by his parents, wife Della, one son, one daughter, two brothers and two sisters.
