Elizabeth Kempf

Hastings resident, Elizabeth "Ruth" Kempf, 94, died Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the Haven Home, Kenesaw, Nebraska.

Services will be Wednesday, July 28, 2010; 10:00 A.M. at the First Christian Church with Rev. Dr. Judith Allen officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 P.M. at the Fairfield Cemetery, Fairfield, Nebraska. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 27, 2010; 1 P.M. - 9 P.M. at Butler Volland Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Memorials may be given to the family.

Elizabeth was born April 18, 1916 in Clay County, Nebraska to Walter Earl & Ollie (Thompson) Fowler. On June 8, 1938 she married Wilbur "Ralph" Kempf. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1996. She worked as a seamstress for 20 years at Mode O Day and retired in 1980. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Golden Nugget Camping Group.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilbur "Ralph" Kempf; three sisters; and four brothers.
