Elizabeth Ricker

Hastings resident, Elizabeth 'Betty' Jeanne Ricker, 83, of Perkins Pavilion, died Friday, December 7, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Monday, December 10, 2007; 2:00 P.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Sunday, December 9, 2007; 1 P.M. - 9 P.M. at the funeral home & Monday, December 10, 2007, 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to First St. Paul's Lutheran Church or Donor's choice.

Mrs. Ricker was born June 25, 1924 near Glenvil, Nebraska to Arthur & Jennie (Hulls) McCune. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church and graduated from Glenvil High School in 1941. On September 3, 1944, she married Paul McLean and to that union two daughters, Patricia & Lisa, were born. Paul died on February 10, 1968. On October 7, 1969, Betty married Harold Ricker. The two families, including his children, Kayleen & Richard, were joined together. Harold died on November 14, 1984. Betty lived in Hastings her entire adult life, and worked in banking until her retirement in 1987 from Norwest Bank. She moved to the Kensington in January of 2005 and to Perkins Pavilion at Good Samaritan Village in October of 2007. She was a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where she sang in the senior choir for many years. Betty was an accomplished seamstress and enjoyed singing, her work at the bank, and spending time with her family.

Mrs. Ricker was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, two brothers, Clyde & Glen McCune, one sister, Doris Mae McCune, one granddaughter, Jill Olsen and one infant great-grandson, Devan Olsen
