Hastings resident, Elizabeth A. Stromer, 71, passed away Saturday, October 8, 2016 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.
Private family graveside service will be held at Parkview Cemetery, Hastings with Rev. Dr. Lee R. Wigert officiating. Memorials may be given to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association or Crossroads Center Rescue Mission, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, October 13, 2016; 1:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. and Friday, October 14, 2016; 9:00 A.M. - Noon at the funeral home.
Elizabeth was born September 13, 1945 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Harold & Ruth (Skiles) Dahms. She graduated from Urbana High School in Urbana, Illinois and attended Hastings College and Kearney State College. Elizabeth married Larry M. Stromer on October 7, 1967 in Seward, Nebraska.
She was a homemaker and helped manage Seward Dry Goods in Seward, Nebraska. Elizabeth was an Assistant Manager at Crossroads Center in Hastings for two years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and past member of American Legion Auxiliary.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; and sister-in-law Marilyn Borden.
