Ellen Lewien

Hastings resident, Ellen K. "Katie" Lewien, 80, passed away Friday, December 4, 2015 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Friday, December 11, 2015; 10:30 A.M. at Grace United Methodist Church, Hastings with Pastor Cindy Karges officiating. There will be a private family burial. Memorials may be given to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date. There will be no viewing or visitation.

Katie was born December 29, 1934 to Ralph & Esther (Phillips) Simmons in York, Nebraska. She graduated from Sutton High School in 1952. Katie married Rolland Lewien of Ong, Nebraska, on February 14, 1954; he preceded her in death on October 26, 1998. She was a homemaker and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brother, Robert; and sister, Phyllis.
