Elmer Borchers

January 7, 1914 — September 28, 1951

Adams County resident, Elmer Ernest Borchers, 90 of 10220 N. Aspen Ave., Hastings, Nebraska, died Monday, June 28, 2004 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Friday, July 2, 2004; 2:00 P.M. at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Carl H. Rehwaldt and Rev. Paul Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery, rural Juniata, Nebraska.

Mr. Borchers was born January 7, 1914 in Juniata, Nebraska to Edward 'Edo' & Anna Kate (Koch) Borchers. He married Lolita Katharina Uden on September 28, 1951 at Juniata, Nebraska and she preceded him in death on January 4, 2001. He was a farmer and had also worked for Timberlock, Western Plastic, Dutton Lainson and Hastings Senior High School. He was a life long Adams County resident and was a member of Faith Lutheran Church.

Mr. Borchers was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lolita, six brothers, Henry, William, Albert, Ernest, Lorenze and Leonard, four sisters, Martha Witte, Helena Borchers, Elsie Borchers and Evelyn Hammond.

Survivors include,

Daughter & Son-in-law: Dolores & James Hellwege - Grand Island, NE

Memorial may be given to Faith Lutheran Church or Donor's Choice

Thur. 7-1-04; 9am-9pm
Fri. 9am-Noon at BVFH
Fri. 1 hr. prior at the church
