Hastings resident, Elmer H. Kloepper, 94, of 810 East Park St., died Monday, December 20, 2004 at Perkins Pavilion.
Services will be Thursday, December 23, 2004; 10:30 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church with Pastor Frank Kerkemeyer officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, Nebraska.
Mr. Kloepper was born January 17, 1910 in Effingham, Kansas to Henry & Marie C. (Wehking) Kloepper. He graduated from Effingham Community High School and from Kansas State University, Manhattan, Kansas with an Agricultural Engineering Degree. He served in the United States Army Air Corps from July 25, 1942 to February 7, 1944. Mr. Kloepper worked for John Deere in East Moline, Illinois. He married Margaret Rieger on June 22, 1949 in Kankakee, Illinois. They moved from East Moline, Illinois to Hastings, Nebraska in 1949. He was owner/operator of the Daisy Queen and a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He drove the van for Foster Grandparents where he worked for 20 years, worked as a volunteer with handicapped children at the Regional Center and also volunteered at Morton School.
Mr. Kloepper was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister.
