Elsie Emma Schafer, 84, of 821 N. Lexington, died Thursday, August 7, 2003 at Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, August 11, 2003; 10:00 A.M. at Faith Lutheran Church with Rev. Carl H. Rehwaldt & Rev. Paul Dunbar officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Elsie Emma Schafer was born September 4, 1918 in Hastings, Nebraska to William P. & Emma R. (Erdman) Dier. She graduated from Hastings High School. She was a private secretary for the president of City National Bank for 25 years, retiring in 1963. She married Conrad 'Coonie' Schafer on November 30, 1963 and he preceded her in death on July 28, 1972. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and Beta Sigma Phi Beta Master Sorority.

Elsie Emma Schafer was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Conrad, brother, Edward L. Dier, Sr. And a sister, Martha Wiese.
