Elva Plum

May 4, 1914 — March 20, 2006

Hastings resident, Elva R. Plum, 91, of Perkins Pavilion, died Monday, March 20, 2006 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services will be Thursday, March 23, 2006; 2:00 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel with Pastor Tim Semotan officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Ms. Plum was born May 4, 1914 in rural Adams County, Nebraska to Clinton Edward & Katie (Leaman) Plum. She graduated from Hastings High School and from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Nebraska. She moved to Chicago, Illinois and worked for the Department of Agriculture. In 1948, she moved to Hastings, Nebraska to help care for her father. In 1950, she began teaching Home Economics at Hastings College. She moved to Texas in 1954 and was an Assistant Trust Officer at Bextar County National Bank. She returned to Hastings in 1990 and lived at The Kensington and later at Good Samaritan Village. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Ms. Plum was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Clara Starr & Mildred Lenz; two brothers, Merle & Melvin Plum.

Memorial may be given to 1st Baptist Church or Donor's Choice

Thur. 03-23-06; 9am until service time
