Elvina Brown

Former Hastings resident, Elvina C. Brown, 94 of Haven Home of Kenesaw, died on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Haven Home.

Services will be Wednesday, November 21, 2007; 3:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel with Rev. James Miller officiating. Burial in Rosedale Cemetery will be at later date. Memorials may be given to the Elvina C. Brown Memorial Fund. Visitation will be Monday, November 19, 2007 from 5 P.M. - 9 P.M. , Tuesday, November 20, 2007 from 9 A.M. - 9 P.M. and Wednesday, November 21, 2007 from 9 A. M. until service time at the funeral home.

Elvina C. Brown was born June 30, 1913 in Bladen, Nebraska to Hans & Mabel (Fraizer) Lang. She graduated from Bladen High School in 1932. She moved to Hastings in the 1940's and worked for Farmers Union Store. She also provided elder care and was a homemaker. On January 6, 1946 she married Chester Brown in Minden, Nebraska and he preceded her in death on October 30, 1974. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

Elvina C. Brown was preceded in death by her parents, husband Chester Brown, sisters, Bertha McNair, Lucille Joynt, Violet Lewis and Margaret Shaw, brothers Albert Lang, Burnum Lang, and Charles Lang.

Sister: Lois Hammer- Holstein, NE
