Former Hastings resident, Emily Ann Barta, 25, of Omaha, Nebraska, died Friday, February 17, 2006 in Omaha, Nebraska.
Burial Office will be Wednesday, February 22, 2006; 1:00 P.M. at Saint Mark's Episcopal Pro-Cathedral, 422 North Burlington, Hastings, Nebraska. The Very Reverend Thomas H. White and Pastor Dale Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Emily was born May 15, 1980 in Hastings, Nebraska to John & Paula (Jacupke) Barta. Emily moved with her family to Carmel, Indiana, Kearney, Nebraska and to Omaha, Nebraska. While in Carmel, Indiana she was a member of the Carmel All Star Softball and Volleyball Teams. Emily had taken classes through Metro Community College in Omaha, Nebraska. Emily enjoyed art, photography, computers and scrapbooking. She loved pets and shared her many talents with her loving nieces. She most recently worked in the childcare field.
Emily was preceded in death by grandfather, Raymond Barta Sr. and uncle Jay Jacupke.
