Emma Marie Haba, 84, of Hastings, Nebraska, died Monday, June 11, 2001 at Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.
Services will be Saturday, June 16, 2001; 10:30 A.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Burial will be Saturday, June 16, 2001; 1:30 P.M. in Oak Creek Cemetery south of Pauline, Nebraska.
Emma M. Haba was born June 19, 1916 on a farm northwest of Caldwell, Kansas to Frances 'Frank', Sr. & Francis 'Fannie' (Hubacek) Haba. She went to a rural school near Caldwell and attended through the 7th grade. She moved with her family to a farm near Lawrence, Nebraska in 1928. She went to rural school for the eighth grade then went to high school one year in Lawrence, Nebraska. She retired from the farm in 1985 and moved to Good Samaritan Village in Hastings, Nebraska. In August of 1997, she entered Haven Home Nursing Home in Kenesaw, Nebraska and resided there until April of 2001. In failing health, she entered Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital and then went to Blue Hill Care Center, Blue Hill, Nebraska.
Emma M. Haba was preceded in death by her parents and 5 brothers.
