Erma Schmidt

Ayr resident, Erma Schmidt, 76 of 905 E. Sundown Road, died Sunday, July 12, 2009 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Services will be Wednesday, July 15, 2009; 2:00 P.M. at the Hanover Presbyterian Church with Pastor Lloyd Boyce officiating. Burial will be in the Hanover Presbyterian Churchyard Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 14, 2009; 9:00 A.M.-9:00 P.M. with family present from 7:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home and Wednesday, July 15, 2009, 1 hour prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to Hanover Presbyterian Church or the American Diabetes Association.

Mrs. Schmidt was born December 9, 1932 in Glenvil, Nebraska to Fred & Anna (Brunken) Fredricks. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1951 and married Menno Schmidt on November 27, 1955. She was a homemaker and had worked for Healthy Beginnings for a number of years. She was a member of Hanover Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School and was a past member of Esther Circle and Neighborly Gals Extension Club.

Mrs. Schmidt was preceded in death by her parents, and infant brother & infant sister; son, Keith and a great grandson, Noah.
