Hastings resident, Ermal Glen Cosman, 83, of Perkins Pavilion, died Monday, October 8, 2007 at Perkins Pavilion.

Services with Masonic rites will be Saturday, October 13, 2007; 10:30 A.M. at First Christian Church with Rev. Dr. Judith Allen officiating. Burial with Military rites will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, October 11, 2007; 9A.M. - 9 P.M. & Friday, October 12, 2007; 9 A.M. - 9 P.M. at the funeral home & Saturday, October 13, 2007; 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to First Christian Church and Shriners Children's Hospital Transportation Fund.

Mr. Cosman was born January 18, 1924 in Pittsburg, Kansas to William L. 'Frosty' & Addie Marguerite (Korb) McClung. He graduated from high school and received a Bachelors of Science Degree. He served in the United States Navy during WWII from December 16, 1941 until October 29, 1942. On September 4, 1943, he was united in marriage to Kathleen Cooper and she preceded him in death in 1985. He was a Technical Services Supervisor at Farmland Industries Incorporated for 29 years. He was a member of First Christian Church, serving as chairman of the board, elder, deacon and senior high Sunday school teacher. He was initiated into Masonic Lodge #8 in Lawrence, Kansas on May 8, 1956. He became a member of Midwest Lodge #317 on November 6, 1961 and was past Master. In the Scottish Rite Bodies, he was a past Venerable Master of Lodge of Perfection, past Commander of Council of Kadosh and Master of Kadosh of Consistory. In the York Rite Bodies, he was past High Priest of Hastings Chapter #21 (Order of High Priesthood), past Illustrious Master of Hastings Council #8 (Thrice Illustrious Master) and past Commander of Knights Templar of Mt. Nebo Commandery #11. He was a member and past Recorder of Tehama Shrine Temple, Temple Band (Central States Shrine Brass Band), Hillbilly Clan #86, Ancient Order of Camelherders, Order of HA-YA-KA-WA, Acacia Chapter #39 Order of the Eastern Star, Tehama Temple, Legion of Honor, Greeters and American Legion Post #11.

Mr. Cosman was preceded in death by his parents and beloved wife, Kathleen.
