Esther Horn

Hastings resident, Esther Minnie Horn, 92, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at Perkins Pavilion Good Samaritan Society-Hastings Village, Hastings, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, April 26, 2010; 2:00 P.M. at Butler Volland Chapel, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. Burial will be in Forest View Cemetery, Forestville, California. Memorials may be given to the family; a memorial will be established at a later date.

Esther was born July 20, 1917 in Alvord, Iowa to Herman & Ella (Mundt) Sueverkruebbe. She married Henry C. Horn on February 19, 1941 in Hawarden, Iowa. He preceded her in death in 1968. She worked on the assembly line for Point St. George Fishery and Mansato Apple Products and retired in 1977. In 1991 she moved to Hastings from California. She attended First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Henry C. Horn; son, David Horn; brothers, Lloyd Sueverkruebbe, Herman Sueverkruebbe, Raymond Sueverkruebbe, and Clay Sueverkruebbe; and sisters; Leona Everly and Helen Carstens.
