Esther Sawicki

Former Hastings resident, Esther L. Sawicki, 72, of Lincoln, NE., died Wednesday, January 4, 2006, in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Services will be Monday, January 9, 2006; 11:00am at Butler-Volland Funeral Home with Dr. Lee Wigert officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.

Mrs. Sawicki was born November 11, 1933 in Custer County, Nebraska to Martin and Lillian (Beller) Ostendorf. On February 23, 1952 she married LaVerne D. Sawicki in Grand Island, Nebraska. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2003. They moved to Hastings from Grand Island were she worked as a bookkeeper for Tom & Jerry's.

Mrs. Sawicki was preceded in death by her parents and husband, LaVerne, 1 brother, and 1 sister.
