Ethel Marie Brandt, 80, of Hastings, Nebraska, died Monday, October 1, 2001 at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital.

Rosary service will be Friday, October 5, 2001; 7:30 P.M. at Butler-Volland Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, October 6, 2001; 10:00 A. M. at St. Cecilia's Catholic with Father Andrew Menke officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, Nebraska.

Ethel Marie Brandt was born the first of four children on May 8, 1921 in Fairfield, Nebraska to Vas & Agnes (Svoboda) Hajny. She graduated from Fairfield High School, Fairfield, Nebraska before graduating from Hastings College, Hastings, Nebraska. She worked in the War Production Department in Washington, D.C. and later as a secretary for the Quarter Master at Harvard Air Force Base, Harvard, Nebraska, where she met and later married Raymond Martin Edward Brandt on November 20, 1944. For 16 years before retiring, she worked at Allen's.

Ethel Marie Brandt was preceded in death by her parents and twin siblings.

Daughter: Linda Meyer - Hastings, NE Son: Russell Brandt - Lincoln, NE Sister: Bernetha Palmer - Washington State 2 Grandchildren 3 Great Grandchildren
