Ethel Moore

Former Ayr resident, Ethel Althea Moore, 90, died Monday, February 2, 2009 at the home where she lived with her daughter in Blue Hill, Nebraska

Services will be Friday, February 13, 2009; 10:30 A.M.at the North Shore Assembly of God Church with Rev. Tony Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Blue Valley Cemetery, Ayr, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, February 12, 2009; 7:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M at the funeral home and 1 hr. prior to service at the church. Memorials may be given to the North Shore Assembly of God Church.

Mrs. Moore was born February 21, 1918 in Milton, New York to Henry VanVallen & Edith L. (Marcham) Mackey. After graduating from high school, she went to college at Central Bible Institute, Springfield, Missouri, from 1936-1937, where she met her husband Clifton A. Moore. On January 1, 1938, they were married in Newburg, New York. After marriage, they lived on a farm south of Maxwell, Nebraska until 1949 and then moved to a farm north of Gothenburg, Nebraska. They moved to Ayr, Nebraska in 1991. He preceded her in death in 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of North Shore Assembly of God.

Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by her parents, husband; a daughter, Betty Stahl in 1980; a grandson, Leo Brauer in 1980; brother, Van Mackey and a sister Iola Smith.
