Eva "June" Peters

Hastings resident Eva “June” Peters, 97, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2023, at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings, NE.    

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 18, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hastings with Pastor Ben Siebert officiating. Burial will be at Parkview Cemetery in Hastings. Visitation will be 1-7 with family present 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, October 17, at the funeral home, and one hour before the service at the church. Memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church. June was born on June 3, 1926, in rural Glenvil, NE to Thomas George & Annetta Gertrude (Meester) Gronewold. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1944. June married William Robert Peters on July 27, 1947; he preceded her in death on February 6, 1979. She worked as a waitress for many years until she retired. June was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and was very involved in her church.

June was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Robert Peters; sister, Donna Soldan; and brother-in-law, Wendel Krueger.
