Eva Thiel

Eva Jeane Cooley Thiel, age 82, passed away on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at her home in Roseland Nebraska surrounded by loved ones.

Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 16, 2008 at Livingston-Butler-Volland Funeral Home in Hastings. Burial will be in Roseland Cemetery, Roseland, Nebraska. Visitation will be Thursday, February 14, 2008; 5 p.m. - 9 p.m., Friday, February 15, 2008; 9 a.m. - 9 p.m. and Saturday, February 16, 2008; 1 hr. prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the family's choice.

Jeane was born on February 17, 1925 to Claude and Pearl (Doman) Cooley in Anselmo Nebraska. She attended schools in Blaine County Nebraska, graduating from Brewster High School in 1943. She worked at the Cornhusker Ordinance Plant during World War II. Jeane married Frank Thiel on August 27, 1945 in Belleville Kansas. Frank passed away June 30, 1995. The Lord blessed Jeane with 14 children. She was a homemaker.

Jeane's faith in the Lord and wonderful sense of humor saw her through many of life's trials. Her children were the light of her life. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, country music, dancing, watching Nebraska football and volleyball, NBA basketball, and family reunions.

Jeane was greeted in heaven by her husband Frank; one son-in-law Frank LeFevre; two grandsons, Steven LeFevre and Ryan Thiel; her parents, five sisters and two brothers.
