Hastings resident Faye L. Hughes, 94, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019, at her home with her family by her side.
Service is 2 p.m. Thursday, June 20, at Butler Volland Chapel in Hastings with Pastor Greg Lindenberger officiating. Burial will be at Kenesaw Cemetery in Kenesaw. Visitation is one hour prior to service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Salvation Army or Crossroads Center Rescue Mission.
Faye was born February 9, 1925, in Prosser, NE to Bert & Estelle (Bailey) McCall. She graduated from Juniata High School in 1942. Faye married Marvin “Marv” D. Hughes on May 14, 1954. Faye was employed in civil service 50+ years up until her retirement. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, sewing, bead work, crafts, fishing, and genealogy.
Faye was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Ralph McCall, Leslie McCall, Laurence McCall, Bernadine Synder, Adeline Carlson and their spouses; and son, Terrence Hughes.
