Fern Rosenau

Former Hastings resident, Fern Criss Rosenau, 92, of Papillion Manor, Papillion, Nebraska, died Monday, July 16, 2001 in Papillion, Nebraska.

Interment was Friday, July 20, 2001; 11:00 A.M. Elmwood Cemetery, St. Paul, Nebraska with Pastor Ellen Campbell officiating. Memorial service will be Saturday, August 4, 2001; 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Chapel, Hastings, Nebraska with Rev. Matt Nieman officiating.

Fern Criss Rosenau was born April 3, 1909 in Wayne, Nebraska to Theodore & Mary (Chaney) Criss. She married Dwight P. Rickard in 1933. He preceded her in death in 1959. She was the secretary for the commander at the Naval Ammunition Depot, retiring in 1956. She later worked in pathology at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital until 1963. In 1962, she married Dr. A. B. Rosenau, D.D.S. and he preceded her in death in 1974. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Eastern Star (Past Worthy Matron), American Legion Auxiliary, Daughters of the Nile and Hastings Doll Club (Past President) and Lincoln Doll Club. She moved to Papillion, Nebraska in 1997.

Fern Criss Rosenau was preceded in death by her parents, 1st husband, Dwight P. Rickard, 2nd husband, Dr. A.B. Rosenau, D.D.S, 3 brothers Glen Criss, Louis Criss and John Criss, a sister & brother-in-law Mayme & Edward Dvoracek.
