Former Hastings resident, Florence L. Haase, 92, of Central City Care Center, died Sunday, February 16, 2003 at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital, Central City, Nebraska.
Services will be Thursday, February 20, 2003; 10:30 A.M. at Zion Lutheran Church, Hastings, Nebraska with Pastor Dan Heuer officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings, Nebraska.
Florence L. Haase was born February 24, 1910 in Jewell County, Kansas to Edward & Lucy (Cottongem) White. She graduated from Superior High School, Superior, Nebraska in 1927 and attended PeruTeacher's Training, Peru, Nebraska. She taught elementary school from 1928 to 1930. On May 26, 1931, she married Edward O. Haase and he preceded her in death December 4, 1984. She was a psychiatric Aide at the Hastings Regional Center and a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She was a life long area resident.
Florence L. Haase was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward O, a son, Edward L. Haase on May 1, 2000, 6 brothers; Letch, Tom, John, Jim, Hugh & George White and 4 sisters; Pearl White, Lena Terrell, Mae Andersen and Ethel Adrian.
