Florence Uhrmacher

Hastings resident, Florence J. "Flossie" Uhrmacher, 81, passed away Saturday, October 10, 2015 at Mary Lanning Healthcare, Hastings.

Services will be Friday October 16, 2015; 10:30 A.M. at First St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Hastings with Pastor Joel Remmers officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery, Hastings. Visitation will be Wednesday, October 14, 2015; 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M., Thursday, October 15, 2015; 9:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M. with the family present from 5:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M., and one hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or First St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Florence was born July 30, 1934 to Henry & Anna (Temple) Thiel in Hastings, Nebraska. She graduated from Hastings High School in 1952. Florence married Donald Uhrmacher Sr. on August 3, 1952; he preceded her in death on July 4, 2004. Florence worked many years in the telephone industry, retiring in 1985 from Lincoln Telephone. She worked as a realtor since 1972 until her death. She was also a member of First St. Paul's Lutheran Church. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her family was her pride and joy and she cherished her many friendships.

Florence was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter; Sarah Uhrmacher, two sisters; Anna and Lilian, and two brothers; Henry and Jacob.
